I am a 52 year old, mother of three ages, 36, 35 and 18 years, and I have 8 grandchildren. I love children and am committed to helping as many as I can to be successful and have a positive outlook. The must believe that they are special and they can make a difference in their community. I owned and operated a home daycare for approximately 15 years in the State of Delaware. Ages of children enrolled were 6 weeks to 13 years. I noticed that many of the children needed extra help with their school work and social skills, which motivated me to open a afterschool program which was very successful. I became involved in our city council meetings, which allowed my program to be noticed by others who began donating snacks for children.
