I am currently a student at the UCLA School of Dentistry. I have experience tutoring students of all ages in various math and science related subjects. In addition to tutoring at agencies, I tutored during undergrad. I also teach test prep, particularly for the ACT and DAT. I scored in the 99th percentile in both the ACT and DAT science segments, and graduated with magna cum laude honors, so I understand how to transfer concepts from classes to testing. For that reason, I particularly enjoy teaching students how to wholly understand and make sense of what they learn in classes. My goal is to help them increase both their test scores and grades.I believe that helping students understand core concepts in whatever they are studying is the key goal of tutoring, because this provides a solid foundation upon which we can build. During my time tutoring I have been able to help students solidify concepts they were already strong in, as well as learn new ideas. My passion for science is something that I hope to share with my students. I am also a proponent of summer tutoring sessions, and I believe they are extremely helpful for students who wish to master a subject.In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends and watching and playing sports, including basketball, golf, and bowling.
