Experience

I taught undergraduate French at the University of Oklahoma for six years and have taken on innumerable individual clients during that time. It is a great passion of mine to promote the French language and culture. I have lived in France for several years and I stay up on current affairs, this way, I can offer a cultural element to my lessons where needed. I have near - native proficiency in French, coupled with the fact that I'm a native English speaker, so relating lessons to students is greatly facilitated by this.

Hobbies

My hobbies and interests include playing and listening to music. I play piano & guitar, but primarily drums and percussion. I also enjoy running and going to the gym. In addition, not only have I lived in France, but I've toured the US from top to bottom with several bands. To that end, I have a great sense of culture and values, not only from having lived abroad but from right here in our own backyard. I also enjoy imparting knowledge to others. I'm a lifelong student and never wish to stop learning. I am 34 years old, I've taught students between the ages of 8-55. I'm extremely patient and can always find an alternate way to teach a lesson if a student is having trouble understanding. I'm very detail oriented and dedicated to promoting the French language and culture. I am extremely versed in this arena and have no difficulty teaching any and all levels and aspects of the language. I can provide very coherent and cohesive lessons that will catapult your level of the language, as long as you are willing to actively participate. Second language acquisition can be scary and intimidating, but the way I teach/tutor leaves students feeling completely comfortable and at ease. Let's get started!!
