Hi! I’m Sara and currently working part-time. I have a Doctor in Pharmacy degree and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. I was actively on the Dean's Honor List and Academic Honor Roll and have received a 4.0 for all math related courses such as AP Calculus, Algebra, Calculus I, II, III, IV, differential equations, etc. I am thorough and detailed and truly passionate about mathematics and science. I hope that any student struggling with the subject can learn patterns and skills to ease studying frustrations, improve grades, and most importantly retain the knowledge for future success. My schedule varies but I would be happy to find a time that will work for both of us. Depending on the age of the student and subject/goals of the tutoring needed I would suggest 1-2 hours of work at a time 1-2 times a week (flexible to your needs). Experience
I have a strong background in all math areas. In college I completed Calc I-IV and Intro to Differential Equations. In the past few years I have tutored many students. Most of my experience has been teaching Algebra I and II. In addition, I also prepare students for the EOI test. All of my students have experienced grade increases. Some have been subtle increases while others have experienced significant grade increases. For example, just after two 1-hour sessions, one of my students went from making D's on exams to scoring her first A on the next exam! It all depends on the motivation and time put into it! Therefore, I have strategies and techniques to motivate and encourage students as well as drill into them the necessary concepts to succeed!

I have worked with children of all ages. Before tutoring I was a nanny and watched children ages 2-13. I now have my own baby, he is almost 2! The time I’ve spent with children has taught me creative ways to connect with different ages and personalities. I would say the reason I am successful at tutoring is not only because of thoroughly understanding the subject but also being able to understand the student. I feel I can connect the dots and develop individualized plans to reach their goals. When not working, I spend most of my time with my baby and husband. We love to travel and learn about other cultures. We absolutely love to experience new restaurants and cuisines as well!
